Christina Erickson
My love of dance started at a young age with tap, ballet, jazz and pointe. I was on my high school dance team and competed in IDTA. When I got my job as a teacher in 2002, I began coaching the Varsity Dance team at my school. As a successful coach, and after winning several state championships in IDTA, I stopped coaching to focus on my family in 2008 and began officiating for several different dance organizations before coming to the IHSA in 2013. I knew how important the feedback and scoring that coaches receive is and wanted to give back to the sport that brought so much joy to my life. Seeing how much the sport of dance has grown in the past 10 years has been amazing. My experience in IHSA includes: State final on air commentator 2015 & 2016 and Sectional and State official 2017 - 2022.
